Our Commitment to Transparency
OUR VISION
Real People. Verified Debts. Direct Payments.
At DebtFreeLately, we believe that meaningful financial support begins with trust.
Our planned verification process is intended to help assess whether people requesting support are genuine, review debt information carefully, and direct contributions toward confirmed financial obligations.
How We Plan to Build Trust
Identity Verification
The planned process would require members requesting support to verify their identity using valid government-issued identification and additional identity checks.
Debt Documentation
Applicants would provide relevant financial documents to support their debt claims, including the amount owed and creditor details.
Independent Creditor Confirmation
We aim to independently confirm debt information with the relevant creditor, including the outstanding amount and approved payment details.
Transparent Verification Status
Debt listings would display their verification status so supporters can understand the level of review completed. Today, an approved card indicates admin review only.
Direct-to-Creditor Payments
Our intended payment model would direct financial contributions to verified creditors through an authorised payment process, rather than paying the person requesting assistance directly.
Payment Confirmation
Once payment processing is available, supporters would receive confirmation of completed payments, while debt balances would be updated based on verified payment records.
Transparency Without Sacrificing Privacy
We believe financial transparency should never require unnecessary public exposure of personal information.
Members control which eligible personal details they choose to display publicly. Sensitive verification documents are intended to remain restricted when document verification is introduced.
